OG Digitakt may rest in peace. Digitakt II is better in every aspect - stereo samples, bigger drive+ capacity, bigger project ram capacity, better sequencer... there is plenty to love here and the decision is not so difficult here:
you have and love og digitakt -> get digitakt ii
you don't have og digitakt and want enter elektron world / get the great hub studio machine / get great loop sampler / get amazing all-in-one device -> get digitakt ii
you need sampler focused on oneshots samplig -> get sp404mkII which i believe is better choice (and get digitakt ii for everything else)
you have og digitakt and don't love it -> i don't believe you :)

Good upgrade for DT fans

I enjoyed this unit for a few weeks, but having come from the OT and not the DT background, I found a bit limiting for my use case.

Amazing unit, as everything from Elektron usually is.

Beautiful fx, I really hope they roll out the Chorus for the ST.

Sadly, some things are not so good. Lack of Overbridge. Very slow transfer, even with 1.02 os. No data transfer media slot.

I sent mine back because it seems very "unfinished" in its current form. Will consider purchasing it again in a year or 2.

Great great great iteration on the Digitakt. With the best usability, you can record very lush stereo pads and have 16 tracks to make any full track perform. Everything that you need from Digitakt with better and more features. And with chorus FX!

this is my first elektron device.... I really regret that I havent used any of them before... super powerful, live-playable, very well designed device.

Besides its own sampler, any of its 16 tracks can be a "MIDI machine". So, in this mode it does not produce any sound, but sends MIDI. And you can use any software synths on iPad (like Model D, Model 15 etc) with sequencer from Digitakt. But also, you will be able to easily map 16 parameters for each synth, and change them by Digitakt's knobs, and give names for these parameters, so name is shown on digitakt display....

I think it is the best instrument/device/tool/toy that I bought in last 15 years :D
