Good one for home practice

I have this mute about a year. It perfectly fits into standard 125 bell of my trumpet, Can be also transported loaded in, as it fits gigbag well.
I mostly use it for home practice and warm-up, sound reduction is fantastic. My family does not complain when I practice on evenings, it is not disturbing from watching TV or similar activities it I am not with them on sofa :D.
In my opinion, sound is not that great for live or recording, but if you have nothing else... But other people might have different view on this. If I compare it to other mutes I have, this one is kind of similar to the Harmon wah mute I have, but quieter and less complex tone. I did not bought it for the sound, but for volume reduction, which it does very well.

The build quality is excellent, the price is great, the fit in my trumpet is great and never falls out of the bell (and I believe it fits every trumpet), and the noise reduction is great and greatly appreciated by my neighbours :)
The only thing that you might consider not very good is the sound it makes, because on the higher notes it is a bit out of tune, but no more than you would expect from a mute, so there's not musch you can do about it, so I would definitely recomend it

I bought it to keep peace with my neighbours when I started learning the trumpet. The grip isn't the best, so at times it would slide out of the cone with the slightest tilt.

It fell once to the ground (yikes...), and the central cilinder that conducts part of the sound snapped off instantly. An unfortunate accident that put an end to our short time together.

The trumpet tones, however, were fantastic. It certainly felt like something beyond a warmup mute (to an inexperienced player like myself, at least). Probably worth your money if you're a new player - and a careful one...
