Outstanding quality

I Bought these speakers along with 2 Achat 112 Subwoofers and they have provided very good service. However, recently I was asked to provide the PA for a small festival so used these speakers. I have to say their performance was incredible. I went to the far side of the field and could hear the band playing with perfect clarity over 100M away. That's awesome - they aren't just loud, they are super clear - if you're looking for a top class set of speakers for a mid range price - then these are the boys you should get

Fabulous speakers

I use these for DJing (mostly weddings) in conjunction with a pair of Achat Sub 112s. The sound is lovely and clear, and fills a room well. They're small and light but deceptively powerful. I also prefer they way they look to boxier speakers. I've even received compliments on how good they sound!

Die Achat 404 MKII ist sehr sauber verarbeitet, schöner Strukturlack und Frontgitter, sieht alles sehr edel aus. Die Hochständerhülse sehr gut eingearbeitet und versenkt, gibt volle Punktzahl.

Ich habe 2 Stück Linienstrahler 404 bestellt um sie als Topteile anstelle der Dynacord D8 an meinem Dynacord-SUB PS 312 zu betreiben.

Der Linienstrahler Achat 404 MKII klingt rund und ausgewogen, aber bei weitem nicht so scharf und transparent wie man es von Linienstrahler gewohnt ist.
Die Sprachverständlichkeit ist nicht besser als bei meinem D8-Top (8“+1“).
Vermutlich durch die fehlende Schärfe ist Feedback so gut wie nicht vorhanden, obwohl die 404 sehr gut in die Breite geht.

Test mit unterschiedlichem Musikmaterial und Mikro ergab immer einen angenehmen ausgewogenen Sound, Feedback war nie vorhanden, die MKII ist absolut rückkopplungsarm.
Die D8 hat jedoch eine viel größere Dynamik, einzelne Instrumente setzen sich besser voneinander ab.

Die Achat 404 MKII ist ein ausgewogener und problemlos beherrschbarer Linienstrahler, sehr angenehm im Sound, extrem rückkopplungssicher und geht sehr gut in die Breite. Bei größeren Locations wird es vermutlich an Power fehlen.

Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist hervorragend, für knapp 300 € bekommt man einen klasse Zeilenlautsprecher. Wenn man noch nichts anderes hat ist das ein klasse Topteil.

Die MKII macht jedoch speziell im Gesang und in der Sprachverständlichkeit nicht den Sprung, den ich mir erhofft hatte. Deshalb habe ich die Achat 404 mit einem weinenden Auge wieder zurückgegeben.

Großes Lob noch an Fa. Thomann, schnelle Lieferung, gut verpackt, Betriebsanleitung (leider etwas mager) in deutsch und vor allem sehr gute und geduldige telefonische Beratung durch Christian Weller.
