Good build quality

I wanted a small set for my apartment, but didn't want something of cheaper brands. Since DW floats the boat for me, and because it's very well known company - I went ahead and bought this one.
Very nicely built with great quality of shells and hardware, lots of spare tension rods/washers/etc.
1ply factory heads are ok to play light styles of music, these are not flimsy or too thin "demo" heads like on budget brands. Since I'm building a silent set - I put these onto the resonant side of drums and they sound good.
Overall I'm happy with the whole thing, highly recommended as a base for silent set or for small studio.

Als langjähriger DW-Fan habe ich mir für kleine Jobs das PDP NewYorker-Set gekauft. Ich war sehr skeptisch und habe lange überlegt, da mir der Preis sehr günstig vor kam. Aus diesem Grund hatte ich keine großen Erwartungen, wurde aber komplett überrascht.

Das Set sieht gut aus und ist trotz des günstigen Preises gut verarbeitet.

Die mitgelieferten Felle klingen "ganz ok", habe diese aber durch Evans G2 ersetzt und somit noch besseren Klang erziehlt.

Die Kessel liefern trotz der größe einen tiefen und vollen Sound. Auch die Kickdrum bringt für die süßen 16" ordentlich "wumms", wenn man etwas mit dem Luftloch und mitgelieferten Dämpfungspads nachhilft.

Man hört ganz klar, dass das Set aus dem Hause DW kommt.

Tolles Set zum kleinen Preis. Deshalb eine klare Kaufempfehlung!

Vorab ein richtig schönes Kit für so wenig Geld und dafür überraschend gut. War und bin schon immer ein großer Fan von kleineren Kits mit 16er oder 18er Bassdrums.

Qualitativ wie gewohnt gut aus dem Hause DW / PDP. Ich hab' die Stockfelle durch Evans Hydraulics für die Toms, Evans EMAD für die Bassdrum und ein Evans Genera Dry für die Snare ausgetauscht.
Mit guten Fellen klingt das Set richtig schön warm und größer, als es tatsächlich ist. Gerade die 16er Bassdrum klingt eher wie eine 20er bei richtiger Stimmung und Fell.

Alles in allem jeden Cent wert und wird mit guten Fellen richtig, richtig schön und macht Spaß!

Klare Kaufempfehlung für jede*n, die/der ein kleines Set für Clubgigs oder den Proberaum sucht und aber nicht auf guten Sound verzichten möchte.
