I put them in one of my experients on a Yamaha RGX 1212S (superstrat from the 80s - neck through alder body). Middle position used.
I appreciated the wiring possibilities (parallel and in series using a mini switch i rewired for he purpose). Soundwise the PU is nothing special when used by itself but it gives many new options in combi with neck or bridge.
When used alone it was inferior to the original single coils if one is after twank or clear string definition. Parallel mode gives a decent vintage sound. Series a bit muddy.
Low output - not a hot pup in any way.
Superior construction.
