Otto Link Super Tonemaster Tenor 5

I've read about this mouthpieces not being precise and symmetrical, it is absolutely true! there are not 2 of them that are the same, the ligature is a little bit twisted and asymmetrical, the reed doesn't sit perfectly in the table and it takes a bit of time to adjust in place.
All this being said, Its my mouthpiece of choice at all times, produces the vintage jazz sound I was looking for and is easy to play once the reed is in place, and of course it looks gorgeous on my sax, its a piece of jewelry.
I'm no STM expert but I feel this mouthpieces have always been like this, and I don't think it would produce the sound I want if it was perfectly symmetrical like a modern machined mouthpiece.
Chinese made 30 euro metal mouthpieces are perfectly symmetrical and sound modern and fantastic, get one of those if that's what you are looking for, I also own a few.

Habe folgende Tenormundstücke getestet:
Otto Link Super Tonemaster Tonar Sax: Bahnöffnung 5, 5*, 6, 6*, 7*
Otto Link New York: Bahnöffung: 6*
Otto Link Vintage: Bahnöffnung 6*, 7
Berg Larsen Stainless Steel 100: Bahn 100, Kammergröße Nr. 2
Berg Larsen Stainless Steel 115: Bahn 115, Kammergröße Nr. 2
Vandoren V16: T5-L, Bahnöffnung 1/100mm:235
Vandoren V16: T6-L, Bahnöffnung 1/100mm:250
Vandoren V16: T7-M, Bahnöffnung 1/100mm:265

Die Bedingungen waren:
Yamaha Tenor-Sax (mittlere Preiskasse).
Blättchen: Fibracell Premier Tenor Sax 2,5
Zierliche, fortgeschrittene, etwas übungsfaule Sax-Spielerin.

Gekauft wurde das Mundstück: Otto Link Super Tonemaster 5 (Bahnöffnung 5).
Dieses Mundstück hat mit dem genannten Blättchen (2,5) einen sehr schönen rauen Ton. Die Ansprache aller Töne ist sehr leicht und gleichmäßig. Mit einem 3,0 Blättchen des gleichen Blättchentyps war der Ton deutlich weniger rau. Mein bisheriges Kautschuk-Mundstück von Vandoren klingt ähnlich, hat aber nicht die tolle leichte und gleichmäßige Ansprache und einen doch weniger schönen knacken Ton.
Das Mundstück Tonemaster 5* war ähnlich wie das Tonemaster 5, hatte aber einen bisschen härteren Ton.
Bei allen anderen Mundstücken war die Tonansprache sehr schwierig bzw. fast gar nicht möglich.
Bei den Berg Larsen Mundstücke gab es Problem mit der Befestigung des Blättchens.
Bei den Otto Link Vintage Mundstücke war die Öffnung zum Aufstecken auf das Sax etwas kleiner.
Die Vandoren kommen ohne Blattschraube und Abdeckkapsel.
