The color of my Gewa Paganini chin rest is more of a tan tone, than shown in the photograph. The quality is fine, as is the price. I personally prefer a chinrest which is a bit wider and with more of a lip to hook under my chin, but that is a personal preference.

Keep in mind that this chinrest straddles the tail piece, so it is more aligned with the center of the violin, instead of being off set to the left as is more is usual. In all it is a fine item at an attractive price if like the shape.

For people with a long neck

Myself has quite a long neck and the shoulderrest I got doesn't really make up for it.

Using this chinrest your head lies in the middle at the bottom of the violin which lifts the violin quite a lot actually, now everything fits!

It's also a great chinrest for people who want to try to play without a shoulderrest since it actually works nicely if I try that too :)

C'est super d'avoir une mentonnière centrale, c'est le jour et la nuit, j'ai l'impression d'être meilleur qu'avant ! Beaucoup plus de liberté avec l'archet.
Le bois n'est pas très beau, fait un peu tâche sur un très beau violon. Elle est plus clair que sur la photo, beaucoup plus fade. Mais pour le prix c'est ce qu'on fait de mieux !
