Great set of strings

I like this string gauge and I've never had a problem with d'addario's. Sound is a little brighter/more metallic then thomann earnie balls, but that's just what I like.

I haven't had a broken string over the last few months so the work well for me. I usually change them wel before the are anywhere of worn out (i just like clean and new strings)

I really like some beef on the lower strings, not just for sound, but also for heavy riffing. A little more string tension makes it easy to go all out on the heavy parts of a song and these strings work very well for me

Nice compromise

I like a fairly light action, and for a guitar that I would be exclusively E-tuning I would use regular 9-42 super lights. But I often tune E-flat or drop-D, and the 6th string gets too sloppy for my taste in those instances. These hybrid sets are a nice option for that. The high strings are still light and easy while the low end maintains more stiffness for lower tuning setups - it's the best of both worlds. These are a little bright when first installed but they mellow out fairly quickly and seem to perform consistently for a long time before getting too dull. To date I haven't broken one.

Superior sound

These strings offer a brilliant combination between a strong, muscular sound and an easier playability on the first three strings. It's not the first time I buy this product, but I'm always pleased by the great versatility in sound this string set offers. The quality is very good, like on most Daddario products.
Pros:
- Very versatile sound and playability
- Very durable strings
- Fair price

- Never confronted any...

sounds alive

these strings make me feel alive. they sound so amazing it blows my mind. I had used earnie balls before and these came on my Harley Benton guitar, it was the first time i used these and im hooked for life. This guitar and these strings have inspired my playing.
