Artec SE-EQ8 Graphic EQ

I bought this eq some time ago as a multi purpose easy and fast to handle eq. In a youtube video that drew my attention some guy calling himself "professor guitar" or something like that, did comments on some eq.'s and drove this product fully into the ground. Now i read a comment on the Thomann product page where someone spoke about 'abnormal hiss' that did ingrease when adjusting the eq. to a higher level. Strangely enough the other comments do praise the quality of this Artec pedal. I tried my eq, and listened carefully. Nothing wrong here. It is possible that someone did receive a malfunctioning pedal. This can happen and the Thomann service department is famous for solving problems at great speed. Better contact Thomann than writing useless comments. This eq. works fine. The eight bands making it a versatile tool. 'Professor guitar' or what ever his channel is called is fully entitled to have a taste of his own. No reason in my opinion to approve greatly with the sound of the most cheap pedal on the market , one that by the way i like too, and in the same video placing this fine Artec product in a bad light. Good product, i do recommend.

Absolutely not.

It is easy to control, the housing is nice, but other then that everything is negative.

The EQ has a very loud and annoying 'hiss' when you turn it on, even when al the settings are set on zero! The problem is not the cables or power, it is the EQ itself.
When you cut or boost a certain frequency, the hiss escalates.

Also, the changes in sound are very minimum when you change stuff. I bought it to get rid of certain frequencies, but my sound got worse. And I know how to work a EQ, trust me.

It is very cheap, but it also sounds like that.
