Not totally Bowens mount compatible but able to modify

A great value for money fresnel unit. But the mount is not compatible with my other standard bowens mount lights. I disassembled the unit and scraped off a few millimeters from the 3 bajonet points to make it allround bowens compatible and fit other brands cob led light sources. After that it appeares to be a great and practical unit to work with. It has no like leak and the rear lens design works very well to improve the overall output and rendement. It also fits standard Godox grids and barndoorns. I ordered one more and will repeat this simple mount modification (which will give a little more play on the Aputure heads but that is a non-thing). Ciao!

The amount of light it produces is ok but the quality is very poor: the beam of light is very undefined with two yellowish/orange spots on top and bottom. And more: the spot is very concentreted in the center unlikle a good fresnel shouldn't do!

Great but...

I bought this to use in pair with my Amaran 200X and sadly is not well designed for that bicolour light. Luckily I also have a Apurture 300D MKII and when paired with that beast the amount of light is ridiculous.
Great craftmanship.

Fresnel 2X gute Lichtausbeute

Hab mir 2 Stück von den Fresnel 2X für meine Amaran 200D gekauft. Durch drehen am Gehäuse kann man von 40° Flood bis auf 12° Spot wechseln. Leider habe ich davon nicht viel gemerkt. Auf Spoteinstellung ist es zwar viel heller aber ich hätte mir den Spot viel kleiner gewünscht und den Flood größer. Im Vergleich hatten meine alten Halogen Fresnel wirklich einen schönen Flood oder Spot. Barn Doors passen zwar auch auf diese Fresnel leider kann man das Licht nicht so schön formen wie das bei den alten Halogen Fresnel war, weil der Flood nicht wirklich ein Flood ist. Es passen übrigens auch die viel günstigeren Barn Doors die für 7" Durchmesser gedacht sind.
