Since the frequency plan was changed in EU, we have been struggling to get a good mic. In most countries 863-865 Mhz is not the optimal band, because you will get interference - it is only a matter of "when".
When I hot the parcel with mikes I was eager to put them to test asap and I was not let down.
Let's count pros:
1. Great construction of hand-piece and receiver.
2. Hand-piece has bright and well articulated sound. Way above the 200 Eur systems grade.
3. Batteries do last long and it works perfectly with Ni-Mh batteries - even battery levels in display are correct.
4. It is analogue FM modulated system - no audio delay. You will hate long delay, when you hear it from the first time. Most 2.4Ghz digital systems suffer from that.
5. Very helpfull staff and very fast response to my questions, even before I bought these mics.
6. Did I mention a good price?
As you can see, for this money you cannot go wrong. Let's hope, Thomann engineers post recorded audio files on site, so everyone can hear how this mic works.
Now, some things that could be better - not faults, but only suggestions:
1. Carton packing box could be replaced by hard plastic padded carry-case. Small investment but big return and savings for customer.
2. Gain control and audio level display needs a bit of tailoring, but you can still use it with no problem.
3. You need to mark Latvia as allowed country for this mic use, provided that user obeys frequency limitations.
All in all, I wish ANT a great success on this simple and very good product.
