The Vibramate string spoiler is an essential for a Bigsby. If you have ever had to change a string you'll appreciate how much of a pain it is, especially if you have to double back on the string.
The vibramate makes a restring a lot quicker, it doens't change the sound of the Bigsby at all, and it doesn't look bad when it's attached to the instrument either. Unfortunately, I don't think the Vibramate comes in any colour other than chrome, which is a pain if you have a gold or titanium Bigsby.
The piece is held on by the pegs of the Bigsby (where you would usually put the nut of the string.) It's held on by sting tension so you don't need to fit anything really.
You will need to remove the strings and lift the arm to attach it, but it only really took 5-10 mins including tuning.
People should seriously consider this a vital part of the Bigsby, don't let the price deter you.
It comes with a sticker too, if that's any incentive :)

A small piece of Genius

Genius is not a word to be bandied about lightly but whoever designed this neat gadget surely qualifies for that term.
This single piece of expertly designed metal hooks around the protruding string attachment posts on your Bigbsy and then allows you to restring the guitar without all of the tedious bending of string ends that then mostly pop off the studs and need to be reattached, all the while trying to get enough tension on the string to hold it in place.

Re-stringing a Bigsby equipped guitar is now no more difficult than any other.

So simple, so clever, so indispensable.!

And of course Thomann got it here as quickly as usual.

Totally worth the money

The Vibramate speeds and simplifies string changes on a Bigsby-equipped guitar. I have had one on my Gretsch for a few years now and just picked up one to use with the Bigsby-equipped tele I'm putting together. Construction quality is top-notch and it's simple to mount.

Easy string swaps

I fitted a full vibramate, Bigsby B7 and roller bridge to a Les Paul Standard. Having had Bigsbys on other guitars and what a pain they can be to restring so I was interested in the Spoiler.

It was easy to fit and string changes are a breeze.

I just need someone to make one of these to fit onto a Floyd Rose now!
