Genzler Magellan Preamp DI Pedal

I've built myself a pretty high-end pedalboard, but there was just something very small still missing.

This pedal brought to the table the "final 10%" for perfect bass tone. At first, I couldn't justify having it for this "minor" role at this price point, so ended up returning it. But once it was absent from the sound, I was noticing even more the "missing 10%", so I ended up buying it again and now it happily lives at the end of my board!

It's a very powerful EQ and I highly recommend it. However - minus 1 star for the plasticky body of the pedal and the hard switches. I don't think any of these 2 belong to a pedal in this price range.

es magelt mir wirklich nicht an Pre-amps und Pedals, aber den Magellan Pre wollte ich unbedingt mal ausprobieren. Neben heute üblichen, vielfältigen Anschlussmöglichkeiten und wirkungsvollen EQ sind es die Filter, die mich begeistern.
2 umschltbare Konturfilter, A für Slapsounds mit Mittenabsenkung und B für Vintagesounds. Kombiniert mit dem regelbaren 18dB steilen HPF zur Entfernung von Subbassdröhnen (und effektiver Nutzung von Endstufe und Boxen). Die Filter klingen musikalisch und machen es dem Bassisten leicht seinen Sound zu finden. Egal welche Stilrichtung, auch für Kontrabass sehr zu empfehlen!

J'ai fait mes recherches... j'ai attendu les nouveautés... j'ai regardé les vieux préamplis... résultat, ce préamp Genzler est au top ! Je voulais un son riche et pur pour mes basses Fender Jazz (Lollar) et Zeta Prism (Piezo) pour alimenter ma Two Notes Cab M, à jouer en DI avec mon groupe. Il y a très peu d'échantillons pour la Magellan Pre sur le net au moment où j'écris, mais le son qu'on entend dans la démo Nate Navarro est très réaliste. Avec la guarantee Thomann, je me suis dit que je pouvais essayer sans risque. D'autant plus que la réputation Genzler est au top et ils sont hyper-réactifs sur les forums. Après quelques jours, j'ai mis le Velcro et je l'ai fixé sur ma pedalboard. Le son est vraiment fidèle à l'instrument, avec un petit goût agréable et complètement réglable. Je me trouve souvent sur "Contour B", mais les 2 sont bien. Les autres contrôles sont subtiles et efficaces, à jongler selon la salle, les cabs et la basse. Je suis ravi d'avoir choisi la Genzler !
