All-in-one podcast and recording station
The t.bone PS 100 is a desktop recording station from Thomann's in-house brand that combines a three-capsule condenser microphone, USB audio interface, two-channel mixer, and desktop stand in a single unit. Four switchable polar patterns – cardioid, omnidirectional, figure-of-eight, and stereo – cover solo podcasting, guest interviews, and small round-table recordings without additional hardware. A 6.3mm instrument input extends its use to vocal demos and singer-songwriter sessions. Connection to a computer or laptop is via USB-C at 24-bit/96kHz – plug-and-play on both Mac and Windows, with no additional interface required.
Capsules, controls, connections
The PS-100's three 16mm electret capsules sit behind a metal grille, handling up to 110dB SPL with a 96dB dynamic range across a 20Hz-20kHz frequency response. A hinge allows the microphone body to be angled precisely for the recording position – useful when the desk stand is fixed but the source moves. Polar pattern selection, mic gain, and mute are accessible on the microphone body itself. The base houses a five-step LED level meter alongside four controls: instrument gain, monitor level, AUX level, and a PC/mic mix blend that adjusts the balance between incoming computer audio and the microphone signal in the headphone output – without affecting the recorded signal. Connections include a 6.3mm instrument input, 3.5mm AUX input for a DJ mixer, gaming console, or secondary source, a 3.5mm headphone output, and a USB-C port.
A full front-end solution
The PS-100 is aimed at podcasters, content creators, and home recordists who want a complete front-end solution without assembling separate components. Solo presenters use the cardioid pattern for focused vocal capture; the figure-of-eight pattern handles two-way interviews across the desk; omnidirectional suits round-table recordings with multiple participants. The instrument input makes it a practical tool for singer-songwriters sketching ideas quickly without reconfiguring the setup. The trade-off is the desktop-fixed design – the PS-100 is built for a stationary workstation rather than mobile or location recording.
About the t.tbone
Since 1994, the t.bone has been one of Thomann's in-house brands, and its name can be found on devices such as headphones, wireless systems, in-ear equipment, and various microphones and matching accessories. the t.bone products are made exclusively by renowned companies who also manufacture products for other well-known brands. This provides a clear advantage: Brand-quality products at very reasonable prices. And word gets around: One in seven Thomann customers has already bought at least one product from the t.bone.
Practical and powerful
The PC/mic mix control on the PS-100 makes it straightforward to monitor both the microphone signal and computer playback simultaneously through the headphone output, keeping the recorded signal unaffected. The LED level meter gives a constant overview of input and output levels without opening software. Beyond podcasting and interviews, the PS-100 handles vocal demos, instrument sketches, and simple singer-songwriter recordings without additional hardware. The software bundle included here extends its reach into music production: Cubase LE covers multitrack recording and editing, HALion Sonic SE adds a fully featured sampler, and Groove Agent SE brings a virtual drummer – alongside over 5GB of sounds and loops. A 2m USB-C to USB-A cable is also included.
