High End Transparent High-Gain

Tight high gain distortion, very transparent in front of the amp and very competent high gain platform as a pre-amp.
Finally getting great tones for hard rock and metal out of my Mooer Radar thanks to the G3. A lot of great tones and super responsive. Takes boosts and distortion very well.

Very impressed. One of the best pieces of gear I ever bought.
Very recommended for anything hard rock and metal.

As a pre-amp to IR loader, it has super mid rich tones, not very easy to get scooped tones, but that's not my thing anyway.
Boosting with ts808 with tone totally backed up and EQD Arrows (unboost and colour), even with a Les Paul.

More versatile than it appears

This is a great distortion pedal! It works great with many styles of amps and because it has a 3 band EQ it's very shapable. The aggression switch is a cool feature - for me it works best different types of pickups. Humbuckers work well with the aggression off, or on the blue channel to get a great sound, but if you use a telecaster you can get more out of the pedal by going to the red aggression level.

There's so much more to it than just hi-gain distortion.
