NS CR6P

23.10.2014
The instrument has excellent finish. I love the fast neck. Six strings may feel weird for a classical cellists but the capabilities they offer are worth of the while. Great bass and violin sounds on additional strings. The instrument has a lot more possibilities adjusting the tone of the instrument than traditional electric cellos. However the line sound is still not a cello sound. Works great on band recordings but would not play it on solo or on professional acoustic recordings. Instrument sounds incredible acoustically though. Being without acoustic body it plays really silently.

If you like to play with effects pedals, this is your cello!

Daniel M. 860, 23.06.2012
There are many things that can be said about this instrument:

As for the sound:
The first thing you need to know is that you depend on your amplifier to define the sound you want. A bass amplifier will give you a good bass play and you will play the bass player to perfection, especially using the middle or third position of the cello gain and gain adjustment lever. The problem is that it will be short on treble, which becomes annoying when using the string E at a high volume. In a guitar amp you play hard on treble but it costs equalize at high volume, and it falls short on bass. Perhaps the best is a PA, or "full range" amplifier like the keyboard.

How to play:
The attack of the instrument is poorer than in a classical cello, let's say it has a more "flat" sound. But this is not a problem, since there are multitude of effects with which to play to obtain a spectacular sound and without any problems of couplings at the time of the direct.
It costs a bit to adapt at first, but you immediately realize that it is very comfortable and quick to run. You can move your hand all over the mast without having to "jump" in half, since there is no box to divide it. Also the ropes are somewhat thinner or cost less to pass the bow. One of the great advantages is to be able to touch freely with the adapter to hang it. (Yes, it is not included)

Design and finishing:
Simply an impeccable finish. To say something, the only thing that is done in lack are microfinadores in the inferior part, since it is a little uncomfortable to tune with the pins when you have it hung.

Feeding:
When active, be prepared to change batteries. I recommend buying rechargeable, because it consumes a lot.

In conclusion:
It is not the most natural electric cello in sound and form of playing, but it is one of the most complete and versatile, and certainly a great contribution to the world of cello.
