The signature guitar with a baritone sound

Harley Benton Agufish Custom Signature BT PB

Specifically tailored to baritone tuning, the Harley Benton Agufish Custom Signature BT PB is a version of the popular signature model developed with YouTuber and musician Hunter Engel, alias "Agufish". The BT remains true to the fundamentals of the standard version, but puts a new, deeper spin on the concept with an extended scale length of 712mm and strings that come tuned to standard A. The guitar's centrepiece is its weight-reduced nyatoh body, with a curved ash top, a glued-in neck made of roasted maple, and a high-quality ebony fingerboard with 22 extra jumbo stainless steel frets from BlackSmith. Together with the two specially matched Roswell humbuckers and a number of practical, modern features such as locking tuners, coil split function, and fluorescent side dots, the result is a versatile guitar suitable for a whole host of lower-tuned genres outside the mainstream.

Go low – but do it with precision

The Harley Benton Agufish Baritone is a genuine signature instrument designed for styles such as Metal, Djent, and Progressive Rock. The extended scale length of 712mm gives the strings enough tension for standard A tuning – without any of that "sloppy" playing feel. The guitar's two individually matched Roswell humbuckers deliver a wide sound spectrum: The AlNiCo V "Seraphim" in the bridge position is perfect for rich, clearly defined riffs, while the ceramic "Flanker" in the neck position lends itself to warm leads or thick-sounding cleans. Two push/pull potentiometers allow the pickups to be split, adding bright, glassy single-coil sounds to this versatile guitar's repertoire, while a three-way switch, separate volume and tone controls, locking machine heads, and a Tune-O-Matic bridge round out the features. The controls are clearly structured, it couldn't be easier to get the hang of them.

For a deep dive into deeper sounds

The Harley Benton Agufish Custom Signature BT is geared towards guitarists looking for a reliable and versatile instrument for low-tuned genres, whether it's Metal, Djent, Prog, or experimental Rock. With its extended scale length, A-tuned strings, and high-quality components, the BT offers stable tuning and a direct playing feel that delivers a precise response – even in the baritone tunings that give it its name. As well as being a serious instrument for experienced players looking for an affordable drop-A model, it's also ideal for players starting out with baritone tunings, who will most appreciate its immediately playable setup, with no need for further modifications. And of course, any guitarist who values individuality, modern design, and a full complement of well-thought-out features will also find what they are looking for here.

About Harley Benton

Since 1998, the Harley Benton brand has been catering for the needs of countless guitarists and bassists. In addition to an extensive range of stringed instruments, Thomann's house brand also offers a wide choice of amplifiers, speakers, effect pedals, and other accessories. In total, the range includes over 1,500 products. Built by established names in the industry, all Harley Benton products combine quality and reliability at attractive and affordable prices. The continuous expansion of the range ensures that Harley Benton always provides new, exciting, and innovative products that keep players perfectly in tune with the musical world, day after day.

Lower tuning, but no less flexible

The Harley Benton Agufish Custom Baritone Purple Blast can best bring its many qualities to bear in genres that require low tunings. Tuned to standard A and strung with heavy .013–.062 gauge strings, it'll deliver powerful riffs, defined chugs, and singing leads without any loss of intonation. Though it's designed for styles like Metal, Djent, Doom, and modern Prog, it's also a fine choice in cross-genre fusion projects or everyday studio work. Thanks to the coil split function of the humbuckers, the BT is even capable of clean parts or percussive Funk elements, which is a real plus for session musicians, or anyone else who likes to tinker with their sound. The robust and reliable hardware and the playable setup stand to make the guitar a reliable partner on stage, in rehearsals, or in the studio – even for extended sessions.

Absolutely phenomenal guitar
JSOCrna34 14.05.2025
I've bought 20+ HB guitars from Thomann, and this one ranks up in the top three without question. The construction quality, playability, hardware, looks, sound... everything is top-notch and on par with my Indonesian-made JEM professionals. The flamed maple neck is gorgeous and feels great when playing, and overall the guitar looks even better in person than it does in the pics. The pickups sounds great, the coil-splitting feature is really awesome with the lower range strings. If you're looking for a baritone guitar, this has got to be the best quality-for-the-price value of anything else out there; if you're on the fence... I can tell you that this is one of the best buys I've ever made - get one NOW before they're sold out and on backorder forever again!

Momentan spiele ich in drop A#.
