Just what I needed
mjmorrell 22.01.2019
I needed some extra foam for some deep pickup cavities on my home made bass. Glad that I can buy this in a large length and cut to size to suit the MM and J pickups in the build rather than having to buy small packs. Great price too. No hesitation in recommending.

Holds pickup perfectly
Moonlet 21.08.2023
I tried multiple alternative homemade solutions prior to buying this rubber foam and none of those delivered the result I got with this product.

The product has a nice density to it and provides great support for directly mounted pickups. The adhesive part sticks really well even to pole pieces that are sticking out (e.g. on SPB-3). I'm really happy with the purchase.

Works as expected

Bought to put under jazz pickups in a fernandes gravity, i also use some of this behind the nut to kill extraneous string ringing.

This works well for both applications and a good length of it is provided.

P90s lovers are served well, with this!
rbbrnck 21.08.2025
i only have one guitar with P90-style "soapbar" pickups, and they're quite tricky to properly set (in height) if their backside isn't properly spongy-springy-like; ditto goes for the guitar that has "classic-mounted" Filtertron-like pickups, which rely not on springs around screw fittings, but under-belly cushion.

it's not rocket-science, i've tried a lot of different leftovers, from rubber to felt to... really, from cables' insulation layer to sticky doors' and window's gaskets, with varying results, over different lengths of time – then found this.

does what it says on the box, and does it nice and easy.
what's even better: it doesn't seem to dry and die as fast as some really lightweight stuff i've tried.

there's more than one "utility" item selected / produced / boxed by Dieter Gölsdorf's Göldo brand that makes quite a positive improvement on instruments' maintenance and / or functionality – this rubber foam band is another most welcome one!
