Gibson Burstbucker pick ups

Geoffrey8556, 12.07.2015
I already have a guitar with Gibson Burstbuckers 1 and 2. I bought another pair to put on another guitar. I like the vintage characteristics, they sound very "60's".

As supplied by Thomann, my order went very well and the goods are perfect. I'm very happy with all aspects of it and I feel that these pick ups all offer very good value for money. All good!

My search for years has now come to an end!

Frank241, 01.07.2013
Actually I am on Singlecoil Strat Sounds but since 1981 has an Ibanez Lee Ritenour Semiacoustic with Original Super 58 Pickups! My problem was always the distorted sound of the neck pickup, at the full stop of the volumepotis marched the terrible in the basses! Numerous soldering guns with different pickups were the result, but unfortunately never with the desired result!
The instrument sounded dry played nice open, differentiated and fresh with neat heights. Unfortunately none of the previously installed pickups (and that were really many) transferred this sound character to the amplifier which caused me to put the instrument mostly frustrated again in the suitcase, where it was also usually long time! Since I've installed the Gibson BurstBucker1 in the neck position, all my sound problems are a thing of the past. This PickUp is capable of transmitting the full frequency spectrum of the instrument to the amplifier! The sound is as bell-like, clear and open as I hitherto did not know of humbuckers. In conjunction with a volume capacitor I have now on the overdriven tube amp from the singing Leadsound up to a dreamlike Cleansound only by the lowering of the Volume Potis.
These pickups reproduce the smallest of nuances exactly and, above all, they do not produce their own sound, but give exactly what the player and the instrument give! I think the secret of this open and differentiated sound comes from the fact that the output power is relatively low and the coils are not poured with wax!
I could only tell you that I had a lot of uncoated single coils. Before the low output power one should not be deterred, because contrary to earlier, no one really needs the pickups to pull the amplifier to pull.
In the meantime, I have installed the BurstBucker 2 in the bridge position with the same result and am totally excited what each and every single and also together deliver! The middle position now sounds very strongly to Tele and if it should be warmer sounds can be synonymous times the Tone regulator! One thing is clear to me from now on Gibson was totally underestimated by me and I think there can still be many others join!

With too strong brand loyalty you can stand your own way more than you believe and your own musical development is also blocked! So keep your eyes open for everything! Sometimes exactly the things are the right ones which have always been smiled!
From today on I can only say: "Sorry and hat from Gibson" for me these are the best successors of the original 59er PAF humbucker with a very good price-performance ratio! If it were the now 1: 1 four-wheeled, then I would damn much solder ;-)
