Good value for money
Vadim G., 26.05.2011
It gives a very good sound if you install it on the knight on the side of the acute strings. On the other hand if you install it on the side of the bass strings you may have bass too deep which is annoying when you make chords because the low strings give an unpleasant noise. The fixing is not comfortable on the tailpiece because if you tighten too much the small black machin, you will have difficulties to weaken it afterwards. If on the contrary you do not tighten it enough, it will give tinkling. Otherwise it is quite strong and can last two years even if you practice regularly.

Optimal for violin live sound
Marcus Lenggenhager, 27.02.2017
I use the pickup for more than 8 years (irish folk) and am very satisfied. If you do not have a holder on the violin, I recommend the V-200. I go straight into a preamp (Art Tube MP) and then edit the sound via EQ in the mixer, lower the treble slightly higher and the bass below 200 Hz very strongly. Something Hall to taste. The sound in this chain is almost feedback-free (!) And by gain in the mixer very high to control without it rushes.

With a clip microphone (I had previously used) you can achieve a somewhat more natural sound, but unfortunately only with the disadvantage of the feedback danger with loud stage sound (Irish pub), or low gain and therefore low volume. The violin was never heard properly with a microphone.

Another advantage: The pickup can remain fixed in / on the violin.

Recommendation: Let the slot in the bridge of a violin maker adjust, so the pickup passgenau

Use the supplied cable if possible!
(3.5 mono jack to 6.3 mono jack)
Other cables / adapter solutions have not worked well for me or not at all.
