I experimented with many violin pickups untill I bumped into the Myers Pickup. Not only is it small and practical, the sound is crystal clear and very natural. It is very user friendly and the goose neck can be adjusted to your own sweet spot. Violinists go out and get it.....

I bought the Myers Pickupgrip for my F-Mandolin, unfortunately the customer does not hold well on the instrument. The chinrest mounting bracket is simply screwed into the plastic of the pickup, when tightening the whole thing slips and slides after a short time from the instrument, especially when a cable is inserted. The sound is ok. However, the output could bring more levels. Not necessarily feedback-free. The customer consists of a small plastic box in which a potentiometer with a lithium battery as well as the gooseneck micro and the socket is installed. Then as already said in the case the chinrest screws simply turned on one side purely. In addition there are 4 Korgpads and felt pads for sticking on, a suction cup and a small pocket with replacement battery. For 159, I would have expected a more stable processing, and the customer would stick to the instrument. Since the customer is not really usable for me, he always slides away from the instrument, everything goes back to Thomann. Very sad
