CL
Solid Acoustic pickup
Conor L. 26.08.2013
This is a great humbucking acoustic pickup if you dont want to make any alterations to your acoustic guitar.

The pickup itself has quite a nice natural sound. The sound is not without its flaws, but for the price, im certainly not complaining.

The long cable connecting the pickup to your amp is sufficiently long, but the wire itself seems a bit flimsy. A bulkier cable jack would give me a bit more confidence when playing, although i've had no issues with the cable so far

The humbucking aspect is a great feature, and in my opinion absolutely necessary for acoustic playing. The pickup is quite easy to install and fits both my dreadnought and OOO body acoustic guitars nicely.

Couldnt ask for more!

At this price, the Neo-D should be at the top of your list for an acoustic pickup.
Took a minute to install and start using.
The sound from my acoustic wasn't coloured or changed at all, was just a nice neutral and even sound.
Output maybe a little low, but a good amp or DI box will sort that out.
Brilliant pickup, highly recommended.

Good budget stacked coil humbucker
Rog 14.10.2014
A good stacked coil humbucker at a very resonable price. The one thing I miss on this one, which for me is pretty crucial, is a detatchable cable. Though, if you are looking for a budget passive soundhole pickup, I recommend checking this one out.

Didn't work on my guitars
Alter_Gtr 11.11.2024
On my Taylor 512 the treble string was hitting the pickup no matter if i installed it towards the neck or the bridge end of the soundhole. On my Taylor 810 the strings were also too close (but didn't touch the pickup), resulting on the bass string being way too boomy and sounding like a compressor with a very long attack. Also the string balance was bad. They were completely unworkable and i had to return them (i bought the single coil too).
