Besonderer Klang, besonderer Rand

Die Denis Wick MM Serie geht auf den Solotrompeter der Londoner Symphoniker, Maurice Murphy, zurück (spielt u.a. auf Star Wars Ep. 1-6). Gleich vorweg, der Klang ist klar, groß, heldenhaft und trotzdem nicht scharf. Man kann problemlos lyrisch, im piano sogar dunkel und verhalten spielen; wenn man dann Gas gibt fokussiert der Ton und bekommt mehr Kante. Man bekommt ziemlich viel Luft durch, vor allem bei den größeren Modellen MM1C bis MM2C.
ABER: Ich komme leider nicht mit der Randform zurecht und kann nicht einmal den Grund beschreiben. Eigentlich bin ich große Mundstücke gewohnt (Bach 1 bis 1 1/4C, Schilke 14-18, Yamaha 17, etc). Ich mag auch die Ränder der Denis Wick Kornett, Flügelhorn und Ultra Serien. Bei der MM-Reihe finde ich aber aus irgendeinem Grund keinen stabilen Ansatzzpunkt, auch nach langem geduldigem Suchen und Üben. Ich probierte daher jetzt auch die 'kleinen' Modelle, MM3C und MM4C, aber selbst die fühlten sich 'zu groß' an.
Wobei ich sagen muss, der Rand wäre sehr bequem: Nicht zu schmal, keine scharfen Kanten. Leider habe ich offensichtlich keine Maurice Murphy Lippen :-( Vielleicht klappt es ja bei Euch. Am Besten im Shop antesten; der Klang ist hervorragend! Mein Lieblingsmundstück von Denis Wick ist übrigens das Ultra 1 1/4C. Es hat mehr Masse als die Standardreihe, macht aber den Ton nicht matter wie es manchmal bei Heavy-type Modellen vorkommt.

Cette embouchure est d'un très grand confort. Pour avoir essayer durant plusieurs mois des Bach, Schilke, Yamaha, Yamaha Signature, Denis Wick, JK... celle-ci est la meilleur pour moi jusqu'à maintenant.
Le bord est rond, ce qui procure une grande flexibilité, et ce sans écraser le muscle. Il est assez large pour une bonne résistance physique. La cuvette est standard pour un son parfaitement polyvalent. La masse métallique est très bien dosée pour le centrage (il n'y en a pas trop contrairement aux Mégatone Bach ou Schilke).
Il suffit juste de trouver le diamètre qui vous correspond sur les 5 références existantes.
Et prenez bien du plaisirs!

Sehr gutes Mundstück

Dieses Mundstück wurde unserem Sohn nach einer professionellen Mündstückberatung-/ anmessung durch Herrn Rensik in den Niederlanden für seine Trompete empfohlen. Schon während der Beratung war er von diesem Mundstück sehr begeistert.

Godt aalround mundstykke

Jeg bruger mundstykket både til klassisk musik og til big band/jazz musik.
Det er dejligt let reagerende i højden med god respons. Den indvendige bløde kant af randen føles god sidst på aftenen, når læberne er hævede efter flere timers spil.
Lyden er lys med lidt tendens til det tynde, så mundstykket er bedst til større orkester sammenhænge. Skal man spille jazz i mindre grupper, foretrækker jeg en dybere cup og større boring, men når det er sagt er det et mundstykke, der i rigtig mange sammenhænge spiller godt.
Jeg kan kun anbefale det.
