I didn't want to get a D112 or Beta 52, I'm not a fan of the Beta and I was curious about the 25 AX

I don't regret the decision, it's got a nice thump and I'd back it as a contender with the others

Mainly been using it for kick out, I've been using a 57 for the kick in and very happy with the results

I know the Pro range was designed to be the more entry level set compared to other AT ranges but it doesn't sound cheap; with this, 2 AT2020s and a snare mic (57 or equivalent) then you can get a decent rock sound without breaking the bank too much. (Glyn Johns Method)

Je l'utilise sur scène pour les instruments dynamiques à dominante grave (et même pour le Kick, à défaut de posséder les célèbres micros dédiés -PZM sm91, PG52 ...).

C'est presque bon à tout faire, comme un SM57 en grave, mais c'est mon avis perso

Ein neutrales Kick-Mikrofon!

Das Audio-Technica Pro 25 AX ist ein überraschend kleines Kick-Mikrofon, dass super mit einem Ständer in die Kick eingefügt werden kann und dabei vorallem darin glänzt Punch und Klick aufzunehmen.
Da dieses Mikrofon im Vergleich zu vielen anderen Kick-Mikrofonen den extremen Low-End Boost NICHT bereits intern eingebaut hat, wirkt es bei erster Benutzung erschreckend flach und möglicherweise steril, jedoch bedeutet das auch gleichzeitig, dass man viele Möglichkeiten hat den Klang im DAW ganz nach belieben mit EQ und Kompressor zu formen.

Ich würde dieses Mikrofon vorallem für Leute empfehlen die vorhaben ihre Kick mit 2 Mikrofonen aufzunehmen wobei das Zweit-Mikrofon dazu verwendet werden sollte um noch einmal extra das Oomph der Kick aufzunehmen.

Prima Mikro für Toms,Blech, E-Bass und auch Bassdrum weil...

Das Mikro ist seit Jahren mein lieblings-Flootom-Mikro, es taugt aber für alles Mögliche, z.B. auch Blechblasinstrumente:
Es deckt nämlich einen grossen Frequenzbereich ab und ist im Frequenzgang relativ grade. Zusätzlich kann es echt viel Schalldruck ab, aus diesen Gründen prima für Blech.
Ich mag es auch an der Bassdrum, weil es nämlich eben nicht pre-shaped ist wie die meisten Bassdrum-Mics, also mit Bass - und Höhenanhebung.
Zusätzlich ist der Formfaktor spitze, das Teil ist relativ klein.Um es mit Clip-Halterungen an Toms anzubringen (nicht mitgeliefert) ist es ein bisschen schwer, das geht aber grade noch so.
Das einzige was ich zu ningeln habe ist die mitgelieferte Halterung mit Schraubklemme: funktioniert erstmal gut, ich kann mir aber vorstellen, das die Klemme relativ schnell den Geist aufgibt, weil z.B. das Gewinde ausnudelt. Mal sehen.
