Guitar was perfect...until you look closer

First guitar i ordered had alot of paint marks and the nut was cut too shallow so i returned it. They sent me a second one, and although the quality is better, the neck dot inlays are not good because in some places the wood doesn't cover it so it looks like it's spilling out a triangle from the circle inlay, and there were some black marks under the finish of the fretboard. Sound and playability is great though, no complaints on that, great and light trem, and HSS with split sounds amazing. Factory setup was okay, i only needed to lower the saddles. Overall sound and playability is great, but in terms of outer appearance the quality control could be better.

A fine quality instrument

Im a guitarist for almost 40 years. I've played and owned many strats over the years from '62 vintage strat, to single humbucker early 80s japan strats to all sorts of partscasters with various arrangements of bodies and necks and pickups so been playing strats quite a while. I have been building my own guitars for a few years now and my main two guitars are self built instruments with the finest woods, pickups and hardware you could choose. I recently purchased a Sire marcus miller v5 gen 2 bass as I wanted to play around on some home recording ideas and was extremely impressed with the quality, feel and tone of the instrument. This lead me to purchasing the gen 2 S7 and wow is this an impressive instrument. It has its own character for sure and plays effortlessly straight out the box. I did do a set up of the guitar to suit my own taste but all I can say is I really don't know how Sire manage to produce such high quality instruments at this price point. I also recently purchased a mn player series strat and got rid of it after a week. This Sire is a keeper. Absolutely lovely tone and great fretboard . Soild instrument. In my opinion it is equal in quality to the US Fender strats or perhaps even exceeds them. If i paid 1500 for it id be happy with it. Will be picking up a H7 next to try it .

Echt een mooie gitaar

Ik heb deze gitaar aangeschaft omdat ik een upgrade zocht voor mijn oude gitaar. Na enig speurwerk ben ik bij deze gitaar uitgekomen. De kwaliteit is goed, de nek voelt goed aan en de fretten zijn prima afgewerkt. Voor deze prijsklasse is het echt een topgitaar.

Heute, am 4.4.23 kam meine Bestellung Sire Larry Carlton S7AWH 2nd Gen.
Ich nahm das Paket entgegen und sofort überkam mich die Ansicht: "Da ist nie die Gitarre drin"! , so leicht war das Paket. ok - sofort rein und auspacken. Ein so sorgfältig verpacktes Instrument habe ich noch nie bekommen. Ausgepackt: Whow!! Die Optik ist schon einmal super (Antique white) und der geröstete Ahornhals mit den Abalone-Einlagen passt hervorragend zu diesem Instrument. Die Gitarre war bereits fast perfekt gestimmt und die Saitenlage optimal eingestellt. Die Lackierung des Corpus ist tadellos, das Schlagbrett in tortoise mit den Tonabnehmern (HSS) passt farblich super dem AW-Corpus. Auf dem Schlagbrett befinden sich zwei Poti 1 Volumen und 1 Tonregler . Tonregler mit push/pull Funktion für Coil split. Der Hals liegt super in der Hand (es gibt nix zu meckern). Was auch bemerkenswert ist, dass diese Gitarre laut Hersteller über einen Knochensattel und über Locking Mechaniken verfügt. Der Sound-check erfolgte über einen
100 Watt Röhrenverstärker Marke Palmer No.1. Der Sound ist in allen Einstellungsbereichen klar und differenziert, auch overdrive über den Zebra-Humbucker - ist einfach der Hammer !! Das gilt natürlich auch für den aufgerufenen Preis von € 549.--.
Alles in Allem ist natürlich zu berücksichtigen, dass der Sound immer eine Kombination aus Instrument und dem dazu verwendeten Verstärker und der weiteren eventuellen Zusatzkomponenten (Effekte) zu sehen ist.
Fazit: ein sehr zu empfehlenswertes Instrument zu einem mehr als fairen Preis (und einem erstaunlich leichten Gewicht).
