A sturdy and trustworthy case

What can you say? This is a case that serves at home and on the road. Sturdy and extremely durable. Looks cool too and fits the instrument like a glove.

Expensive, but cheaper than replacing a damaged guitar.

My Gretsch Electromatic G5124 was in this case when a fire broke out in my house. It didn't get burnt but was in a room where everything was severely smoke damaged and when I recovered it, it had a couple of millimetres of black sooty gunk all over it. Fearing the worst I opened the lid, to find my guitar absolutely unscathed and in perfect condition. It was even still in tune! A quick jet wash later the case looks a little worse for wear, but it's still keeping my baby safe.

Moral of the story - get a decent case for your beloved axe.

I purchased this case for my Gretsch G5420T.

First impressions - wow, it is worth every penny!

It is made by TKL cases, so the same people who make Martin cases.

The red lining is amazing. The guitar fits inside perfectly. It is very much like an acoustic guitar hard case - which makes sense as it is for hollow body guitars!

The brass Gretsch logo looks sublime. First time I used the case our backing singing commented on it - she said I need a case for the case. I cannot fault it in any way it truly is an amazing product. It makes my guitar look like it is worth a lot more than it is.

So Finally, if you are unsure about spending this much money on a case - do it! I was a bit concerned too but it is stunning. Think of it as in investment. If you are carrying around your ~£650 guitar in a bag it is going to cost a lot more than the cost of this case to repair any damage that may occur.
