feels very nice to play and I love the design
In contrast to other woods like maple, Mango has quite random patterns (the contrast between more and less dense segments). The paint in this wood takes on a different colour depending on which part of the pattern it is applied on. So the colour pattern visible is a highlighted colouring of the woods natural pattern.
I like to compare the appearance of the Violet version to a night sky with northern lights, which is my favorite in the series. But also the other colour choices look very intriguing.
As each piece of wood has naturally occuring uniqueness in the pattern, each individual guitar should look different in that regards.
My own guitar for example differs in the pattern compared to the picture seen here and I was aware of that in advance. The color range of course stays the same. To understand what I mean, one can look into the patterns of the other guitars of the Mango Series here on the thomann webside or in the PRS blog I linked at the bottom.
PRS is played by some of my favorite Guitar players like Kanami Tono (Band Maid) or Dany Villarreal (The Warning). Watching them play I really
got into the general design choices of PRS especially when keeping and enhancing the original wood patterns.
In a dual interview both of them also agreed on PRS guitars being among the most reliable when touring.
Now, I am no professional musician, I just love this guitar.
And I once heard, you should get a guitar that you like to look at so much, that you always want to pick it up, when you walk by it. That way you will automatically keep practicing frequently.
Here is a little blog including a video from PRS where they show the production of this guitar series in their shop floor in Maryland and comment on the design and technical details:
