Handy, cheap and effective solution!

These are great for helping with slipping tuning. They will not eliminate it fully, but they certainly do reduce the amount of slippage with the tension rods. For the price, they're a cheap and effective upgrade to the lugs that come with most drum kits (which are just stock washers anyway which don't do much else) so it is well worth having a few packets to put all round the kit for all heavy hitters. Definitely recommended for any drummer though, every little helps when it comes to tuning reliability!

So good I forgot about them!

I put them on a few months back and have only just remembered that I put them on. Tuning stays in seemingly permanently. Just set up and forget.

I think an added bonus is that my tuning experience has become much smoother. E.G in one band I have a mid tuning for the snare, and for all other projects I need to tighten it up. Previously I'd have to tune each lug, then fine tune to make sure each is in tune with the others.

Now this second step is unnecessary, just a 1/4 turn all the way round and it's perfectly in tune.

I wouldn't put much thought in to comments to the effect of "too expensive for washers with rubber". When you consider how effective they are, the comment doesn't hold much weight.

I applied these on snares that just had metal beads and it made a huge difference. Both in tuning and sound.
From now on, I will be puting these on any snare that doesn't come with nylon washers and I strongly recommend the purchase.
