Something must be wrong with the plug's lenght

They constantly disconnect (mechannically) whether from my devices (pedals, outboards) and instruments (bass, guitars). Imagine after getting spare time to make music, you're tracking you guitar in the studio and all of a sudden your signal goes off. Can you imagine a concert?

The Thomman branded extension tube aimed to avoid cable-break right next to the plugs is rigid and makes the shortest patch versions of this cable very annoying to accomodate i.e in a pedalboard.

I bought 6 units: Two 90cms long and four 30cms long. All of the 6 got disconnected at a given moment.

This review is solely based on described problem. Didn't take the time to evaluate signal quality because I decided these cables were unusable for me.

I find this is a pitty because I rather pay premium prize to be sure to be using the product from the moment I get them and trust the quality. Although they look good and they are expensive, and although Thomann's customer service is the best I ever experienced, each product I have to return means a loss of precious time. Some might have enough time. I don't.

Good Quality But Shorter Than Expected

Excellent quality at a reasonable price

Excellent quality as always from Sommer. Better than pretty much anything else in this price range. There's no reason to buy cheap junk when Sommer sell these top quality cables at such reasonable prices.

Entspricht nicht der Beschreibung

wichtig:

- das Kabel hat eine Silent Funktion am graden Stecker
- das was auf den Bildern wie ein Knickschutz ausschaut, ist in Wahrheit nicht vorhanden.

Klang: Hörbar heller und neutraler als ein 3m Kabel. (Dafür kauft man sich auch ein 90cm Kabel)

Positiv:

+ Steifigkeit
+ wertige Metallstecker (lassen sich wie alle Gewindestecker aufschrauben. Das Gewinde hat aber noch genug Selbsthemmung, dass die sich nicht ständig aufdrehen.)

Negativ:

- Silentfunktion (die aus der Produktbeschreibung nicht hervorgeht, und imo ein preistreibendes, unnötiges Element ist)
- kein Knickschutz vorhanden, wie es die Bilder vermuten lassen

Die Silentfunktion kann man als + oder – empfinden. (Ich empfinde es als Letzteres und ich hätte es sehr bevorzugt, wenn das aus der Produktbeschreibung (und nicht nur aus dem einen Bild, wo der Schriftzug noch auf dem Kopf steht) hervorginge.) Spätestens aber die Irreführung, dass die Bilder vermuten lassen als ob das Kabel einen Knickschutz hätte, der jedoch nicht vorhanden ist, halte ich für gelinde gesagt: äußerst unglücklich.

Also von mir gibt’s nur eine beschränkte Kaufempfehlung.
