Mojotone ST HSS STD Prewired Harness

I’m terrible at soldering so wanted something that would require less soldering work lol. Kit was missing 3 cables, not a big deal but for that price come on! Thomann was very fast to get back with a return form though. Decided to keep it because I had some extra cables. Anyway it was a pretty small and easy installation, took one evening. I don’t know if it’s just my imagination, but I think the guitar sounds better now, it sounds more clear and hifi, just to add we’re talking a small percentage here, it’s more of a feel thing. The pickup-selector feels better than the stock I had. Overall better quality. Also the CTS pots were a bit high for my fender original knobs, so don’t forget to add some washers or something to get the knobs closer to the pickguard.

Ich kaufte dieses Prewired Set aufgrund meiner Erfahrung mit einem Solderless Set bei meiner damaligen HB Tele. Der Sound war einfach geil!
Dieses HSS Set ist für meine Made in Japan E- Series Squier aus den 80er.
Die Ware ist ordentlich verpackt, und ein A-4 grosses Einbauschema ist dabei. Fantastisch! Damit kann wohl jeder Laie die Pickups richtig anlöten. Alles funktioniert prima, der Sound meiner Strat ist definierter, einfacher zu dosieren und lässt mehr Möglichkeiten zur Gestaltung. Dennoch gebe ich nur 4 Sterne. Und zwar deshalb, weil mir 2 Mal werkseitig angetoastete Lötstellen, bzw. die Kabel am Lot, abgebrochen sind beim Einbau.
Ok, ich bin kein Uhrenmechaniker. Aber als gelernter Schreiner so ein Grobmotoriker auch wieder nicht, als dass die Kabel unter geringer Einbau- Belastung brechen müssen. Für den Preis finde ich das schwach.
Dennoch wird man, wenn alles sauber verlötet ist, durch die überzeugende Soundqualität entschädigt.
Unter der gebotenen Einbau- Vorsicht eine Kaufempfehlung.

I bought this Harness to upgrade my first Strat Style guitar (An old Aria Pro II). Just an attempt to give it some love after all the time I've been using it. I am very happy about the final result. Mounting the kit on the pickguard is super easy. All the pots and switches fit perfectly without any kind of adjustments. All wires are pre tinned, which makes the soldering process super fast and easy. Pots and switch feel great. The wireing is made with cloth covered wires, so if you're going for a vintage style this is perfect. Bought it togheter wit some Fender Vintage pickups.
The overall result is outstanding!
