This is my first ever semi-hollow guitar so take my words with a grain of salt. First impression when I took it out of the case – what a stunning guitar! It looks exactly like I hoped it would.

Build quality: the sticker says that it was handbuilt in Korea, which is a good sign for me. I couldn't find any scratches or other defects in the paint. The neck is nice and smooth, definitely on the thinner side of the spectrum. Frets are well-polished. The only thing that really bothered me was the nut. It's too wide for the slot and its sharp edges stick out. It feels like they missed a step of fitting and sanding it down properly and just glued it “as is”.

Sound: the guitar is very resonant and is fairly loud even unplugged. When plugged the amount of noise from the pickups is minimal. I like how the pickups sound somewhat between a PAF humbucker and a stacked single coil. They are special. The neck pickup emphasizes bass and the bridge pickup boosts trebles more than I expected. The middle position is well-balanced. I really liked the tightness and punchiness of these pickups.

Misc.: the tuning stability could certainly be improved. I'm going to replace the factory bridge with a roller bridge to see if that helps. The case the guitar came with is great.

La Guild Starfire V w/ Bigsby Blk est une belle guitare Archtop à la finition irréprochable et aux caractéristiques techniques et musicales exceptionnelles pour le prix proposé.
Un corps parfait au vernis éclatant, un manche facile sous les doigts, des micros à rendre jaloux la concurrence même la plus réputée et un bel équilibre un peu grave que j?ai toujours retrouvé chez Guild.
La Starfire V est un peu lourde, mais c?est le prix à payer pour avoir une poutre centrale qui donne toute la dynamique nécessaire à cette merveille.
Le Bigsby est simple d?utilisation et ne désaccorde pas l?instrument.
Avant de vous décider pour un modèle équivalent, vous devez l?essayer !
(Heureux possesseur d?une Guild D 25 depuis près de 40 ans et d?une électroacoustique A 5 CE de la même marque je complète ainsi ma collection made to be played)

Thomann no se responsabiliza de dar un servicio correcto acorde con lo que vende. Nefasto servicio de seguimiento y atención al cliente. Por el contrario muy buen producto. Guitarra muy fácil de tocar. Muy buen acabado y sonido perfecto para tratarse de la gama de productos en la que está enmarcada.

Une très bonne guitare

J'ai acheté cette guitare après en avoir essayé une multitude (Gretsch 5422, peerless rétromatic, standford marquee, et autre...)
Mon choix s'est arrêté sur la guild pour sa polyvalence, et sa qualité de fabrication en général (bcp d'hésitation avec la Gretsch...).
Je l'utilise pour du studio, et pas encore sur scène, on va attendre un peu avant de risquer de la casser!!!

Je pense à terme remplacer le micro chevalet pour des raisons qui me sont propres.
Ceci est un pris partie, le micro d'origine est très bon, et permet de faire tout type de musique.

Les finitions sont bonnes sur le modèle que j'ai reçu, et je suis plutôt exigeant en la matière.

Vous pouvez y aller sans hésiter, et dans tous les cas: essayez avant d'acheter!!!
