2nd best Start pickups in the world
In my opinion, maybe Fender PV 65s are little bit (like 15%) more versatile (coming with their own saturation though), but these made my Strat come alive and sounding like a "real" Strat should.
Quality - top notch, packaging - perfect, sound - the epitome of a 50`s Strat. Had zero problems whatsoever.
Perfect for everything up to moderate OD/Distortion (buzz kicks in harder with heavier tones + !no RWRP! middle (this is expected, though, for 50s PV series), so all positions are...fuzzy idling, if you care.
I adore the sound, it is perfect. The output is moderate and if you want to do Hendrix, 65s or 57/62s are slightly better because of hotter output, but for the classic rock, blues, punk-rock I find these pickups are just perfect. More "civilized" than 65s or 57/62s, but you can also dig them really hard, so for those gritty, stone-in-the-face punk-rock tones I`d prefer 59s.

Decent tone, but NOTHING like the real thing
Bought these purely to compare with the real thing... a set of actual ‘59 Strat pickups. I doubt that anybody will be surprised to know these sound like Strat pickups... but thats as far as it goes. They have very little of the airyness and bass response of the originals.
I measured the sets under load, using a professional LCR meter and the differences became apparent... the Q was miles different, the inductance differed significantly and the capacitance was higher too. So my subjective opinion from listening was confirmed by measurement.
If you need a fairly low output, bright Strat pickup set, these are really okay... but don’t believe the ‘59 hype... it simply isn’t true imo.

THE Vintage sound
This is a great set of pick-ups.They remind me to the early Fender Stratocaster. I strongly recommend those pick-ups

Fender 59 strat pickup set
I fitted these to my “Shadows” Stratocaster. These give me very authentic sound for the Shadows lead guitar solos. They have a beautiful sound. Highly recommended!

Nice...
Replaced the standard pickups in my Squire Classic Vibe with a set of Fender Pure Vintage 59 Pick ups....and what a big difference it made.
Now my guitar has a much warmer sound...like it a lot.

Fender Pure Vintage 1959
Easily to montage into my lefthanded Strat.
Only thing you have to do is adjusting the body a little bit. By cutting away al little bit of bodywood.

J'ai mis ces micros sur ma Strat (devenue PartCaster) et je les adore.
Le son du micro manche est rond et chaud.
Le son du micro chevalet est claquant à souhait !
Personnellement, j'ai installé un switch qui me permet de joindre le micro chevalet et manche ensemble, et cette combination est sublime ! (Un peu proche d'un son de Tele).
(Je n'ai jamais aimé le son du micro milieu donc je ne donnerai pas d'avis)

Nice sound
My American Standard sounds much better now.
Although, since they the three pickups are the same, it's hard to notice the difference between neck and middle pickups when soloing. I dare to say that a lot of guilt fall on my crappy amp.
Happy with the buying though.

The authentic SRV sound
I've bought this set in order to complete my 2005 Highway One Strat restoring.
This set can achieve the most sought after Stratocaster sound, and really translates all the frequencies from the guitar woods.
