Sturdy steel stand

The K&M 27105 from the German manufacturer's Baseline series is a classic, affordable microphone stand with a clean and functional design. It's height-adjustable up to 1.6m, making it ideal for standing vocalists as well as for miking all handheld orchestral instruments. The height is set via a single adjustable main tube, while the robust steel construction, three metal feet, and hardwearig synthetic moving parts ensure steady positioning on virtually any floor, providing a reliable foundation for recording or live use with almost any microphone.

Quick and easy positioning

The K&M 27105 offers flexible height adjustment from 0.9 to 1.6 metres via a clamping sleeve that can be securely fixed with a simple tightening motion, ensuring quick and reliable setup. Precise alignment of the microphone is achieved through a one-piece swivel arm, adjusted using a wing nut on the boom arm clamp for accurate positioning of the sound source. At the end of the boom arm, a microphone clip with a 3/8” threaded connection can be attached, typically supplied with many microphones; the stand ships with two black clips for tidy cable routing and effective strain relief, keeping the overall appearance clean and professional.

Flexible miking at ear level

This affordable microphone stand offers flexible positioning for instruments at ear level and, thanks to its sturdy construction, is built to last for many years. The 80.5cm swivel arm allows any handheld instrument to be miked at the perfect distance, while the black finish keeps the stand unobtrusive on stage during live performances. When folded, the stand is compact and space-saving for easy transport and storage. Users can also buy a water-resistant carrying bag made of tear-resistant nylon, featuring two shoulder straps and inner pockets for additional accessories.

About K&M

Founded in 1949, König & Meyer (K&M) initially produced music stands and measuring tools. Just two years later, the range was expanded to include instrument stands and microphone tripods, which are still the core business of the manufacturer today – and are still manufactured in their facilities in Wertheim, Germany. K&M also produces musicians' stools, stands for speakers, monitors, and lighting, and a range of accessories for mobile devices, such as tablet mounts. To satisfy the company's own exacting standards, even the individual metal and plastic components continue to be manufactured primarily in the company's factory in Wertheim, with particular emphasis placed on environmentally friendly and sustainable production.

Suitable for a wide variety of sound sources

The K&M 27105 is ideal for capturing a singer or trumpet player using a suitable microphone, with the adjustable boom arm providing enough distance from the stand to allow freedom of movement without accidental contact. Its robust design keeps the microphone stable even during energetic performances, ensuring consistent sound capture. The stand is also effective at picking up higher sound sources, especially if two 27105s are used as a pair – as a drum overheads, for AB miking of a choir, or for capturing multiple stacked guitar amplifiers with ease and precision. The smooth swivel and height adjustments allow quick setup and fine-tuning for any recording or live situation.

Basic but secure
Anonymous 11.05.2016
I took a gamble on these stands as the price made me cautious particularly when buying for a church where there is little control on how equipment is treated by those who don't understand how much care is required if you want things to last a while! Previous stands have been damaged through improper adjustment and breakdown.
Firstly, I have been pleasantly surprised with the stability of the stand particularly when the boom is extended over a keyboard to a sitting keyboard player/vocalist. There is also the risk of droop when used like this but as yet the boom has been secure when extended.
In the case of standing vocalists or musicians (eg. flute), the stand has been effective and easily adjustable for height, all adjustments have proved to be secure.
All adjustment screws have proved to be easy to use yet remain tight.
All told, the stand has proved to be good value for money and I would not hesitate to buy this again when I look to increase the number of vocalists in the band.
Service and delivery from Thomann was good with the items well packaged (with other items) and of course, the site remains my "go to" website for anything audio visual.

Great microphone stand
Anonymous 24.11.2016
Microphone stand is great for designed use.

It is the first microphone stand I have ever bought and am very happy with it.

I use it to film interviews with a shotgun microphone mounted to the stand.

The stand when in use is relatively discreet and unobtrusive yet sturdy enough with the boom extended to fill length. Excellent as I want interviewers to not be overwhelmed by equipment.

Joints feel robust and cannot see any problems arising any time in the future.

The stand is a little awkward when transporting around as no bag is provided and conveniently the legs get stuck around things on occasions.

The stand also came with clips to secure the cable going to the microphone which is a nice addition to keep equipment looking tidy and professional.

However an adapter was required for the particular microphone mount I acquired for my shotgun microphone.

All in all very happy with product after using sporadically over last 2 years.

Works well, very minimal amount of plastic. VERY usable, user friendly and it handles being taken apart and put back together every day very well.

I thought a mic stand at this price would be the type you cant really take apart and put back together too often...

But I was wrong!

Fantastic mic stand. works great!

Mic Stand Excellence

I've found the K&M 27105 to be a stellar microphone stand, offering great stability and handling. The quality is outstanding, especially considering the price. I've used it for recording guitars and micing up amplifier cabinets, and it has performed flawlessly. The stand is sturdy, with a solid weight that inspires confidence. I appreciate the attention to detail in its design, which makes it easy to set up and use. While some may find the plastic fixtures to be a drawback, I've found them to be more than sufficient for my needs. Overall, I'm extremely satisfied with this purchase and would highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a reliable microphone stand.
