The listener does not appear at first sight overly solid, but this is more likely due to the somewhat old design. Otherwise, there is nothing to complain about, because wiggles nix and besides it can not be so bad, if it has been manufactured in this form for decades. Unfortunately, the cable is very long and solidly installed - a pity.

Comfortable wearing

This headphone sits really very, very comfortable. Already after a few minutes of habituation one hardly takes it any more. You can wear it for hours. The Velorspolster is cuddly soft and in contrast to the cool artificial leather pleasant warm. The placement of the headphone feels a bit like sinking into the warm, soft seats of a luxury limousine and closing the doors with a rich sound. The outside noises disappear and suddenly one is no longer part of the world out there. Great!

Sound

Wow. So I had imagined that. The basses fill the bowls full and crisp, without ever being strained.
Above all, the very low bass frequencies are convincingly reproduced. The whole thing feels so warm and soft that I am tempted to pull another comparison with the luxury limousine. The heights only occasionally appear a little pointed and overstressed. In addition, it is noticeable that the sound is pronounced spatially and three-dimensionally. Classic freaks would probably blame him for his exhilaration and exaggeration - in terms of sound, the DT 770 Pro (80 Ohm) hit me completely!

Conclusion:

I have found the ideal headphone for working on the computer! The only drawback is the fixed, very long cable. A pragmatic solution like the mini-XLR connector of the AKG K 240 would be the icing on a great device.
Unfortunately, the variant of the D T770 with the spiral cable is hardly to be found in the retail trade, I only on request with Beyerdynamic at all about it. Meanwhile, I have my listeners on the (unfortunately somewhat heavy) spiral cable.

++ richer but still very pleasant sound, does not seem so fast "boisterous"
- Heights sometimes somewhat obtrusive
+ Good spatial impression
++ super comfortable!
+ Loud enough, even on the laptop (MacBook Pro)
- no interchangeable cable, unfortunately

A classic and still top!

PapaZulu, 02.09.2014
The headphones have been on the market for a long time and the many good reviews gave the hope to get a good headphone even without listening to the test. Of course, direct comparison is even better, but Thomann is not exactly the same for everyone around the corner.

The possibility to use the money-back guarantee, however, I quickly rejected, why also, the listening experience nevertheless set me completely satisfied! What one at a time for details to hear, which also with other headphones have been hidden, has surprised me very positively. Even the prejudice that closed headphones convey a certain 'narrowness', I can not confirm here. Both the sound appears really wide and rightly spatial, and the comfort is better than expected. The pressure is not strong enough, the velor pads help to sweat, and I find it simply more comfortable than lying.

The headphones Beyerdynamic is recommended for the studio, but primarily for monitoring purposes. For mixing, a sister model comes into play. So I really do not really like the assessment of depth gradation, and in my opinion, the deep mids are a bit too short.

With the 80 Ohm version, I have synonymous s.my portable multitrack recorder enough volume control and obendrein the most meaningful cable of the model series (3m, smooth) in my eyes.

Here, however, a critical remark comes to an end: the cable is fixed! An exchange should be possible, but obviously not without soldering. This is no longer State of the Art! And the connection of the two auricles with the thin cable may serve the mobility, but is also vulnerable, since you can easily get stuck somewhere and damage the cable.

Nevertheless, I am fully satisfied with the headphones and am glad I finally made a sensible upgrade in this field. The current headphone is now waiting for my guests ;-)!
