Thomann Classic Cello Set 4/4

I'm a beginner at playing Cello so my technique is not good but I have a good music ear after many years of playing piano and guitar. Out of the box it might be good enough for someone who's a beginner musician in general that are going to play twinkle little star frome note sheets. But for me who has a good ear and doesn't sit alone trying to learn note sheets but plays along to music the issues with the sound was annoying to me, I have enough struggles with my technique and don't want to fight the instrument as well.

The A string is very sharp and sensitive to overtones. The D and C string did not match the instrument and sounded very dull and muted, especially the C string, open string were okay but as soon as you took a note the sound just dropped and it felt like an opposing resonation took away half the volume. I tried everything with my technique, pressure, speed, position, more/less rosin, moving the stable but nothing seemed to help.

I bought a set of Larsen Aurora Medium strings and that made it much better, not as much volume in the C string as I would like but I'm not an experienced cellist so don't really know what you can expect. But those string made much better sound over all, smoother sound on the A string and more even between all of them.

And don't forget to buy peg-soap as well, it makes the pegs turn much smoother and help them stay in place.
