Make your Les Paul versatile!
Outstanding performance both clean and distorted with tons of character. Of my three main guitars the 91' Gibson Les Paul was often confined to its case (the other being a Charvel Pro Mod and a 84' Tokai Goldstar Sound). Mostly because of the cleans to semi distorted bluesy sounds seem to lack headroom, clarity and percussiveness. I've had Gibson 490R + 498T (original), EMG 89's, Seymour Duncan Phat Cats and Duncan 59's before I tried the Seth Lovers, home at last!
Whenever I played something bluesy or clean before I picked my strat or Charvel, not anymore! These pickups sound the way you play them with a mid honk and a great openness. I recommend anyone who has a Les Paul to install these and get a Jimmy Page 50's wiring. If your guitar was a bit dull and only good for overdriven marshall type sounds, this will open up new worlds.
The only negative thing I can think of is that sometimes the neck pickup is a little dark sounding compared to the bridge but I guess that's what you get with this kind of vintage design.
