I bought two 906 to have as an alternative to sm57 both in studio and live. I think it its a great sound mic even though its not as different to the sm57 as i maybe hoped for. Its at little bit darker sounding then the sm57. When i used them in a studio along side with the mighty sm57 on guitar and snare it almost always ends with me using the sm57.
A great thing about the 906 is that you can do the classic "hanging" the mic in front of the amp in a live situation (so you dont need a micstand).
One negativ thing is that the mic clamp is kind of a special one so im constant scared the someone will lose or break them.

Bättre än SM57
Låter mycket mer tilltalande och "hifi" än vad en SM57 gör. Dessutom praktiskt att kunna hänga den över stärkaren utan ett stativ!

Har faktiskt inte använt den till elgitarr, som den brukar användas till. Använder den för att micka upp virvel (har den på sidan, på stommen) och det funkar fint.

Using this microphone mostly at small venues when space is an issue. But it could be the only microphone i would be using on guitaramplifiers.
It's got a bit more and even lows than a usual 57 in my opinion.
Reminds me more of a 421 in front of the amp.
