Neutrik NL2 FX

The plugs are fine, but the strain relief has got me worried a bit.

The strain relief is a separate part that shoves over the cable before connecting it. When the wires are connected you shove it back and there are 4 tiny pins that fall into 4 tiny holes on the connector part.

Then you screw the cap over the strain relief, thereby tightening the strain relief at the same time.

However, no matter how precisely I positioned the strain relief pins into the holes, I always heard strange clicking noises while screwing the cap on, as if the strain relief moves out of place. Yet, in the end the assembly is tight anyway and the cable does not pull out.

So maybe this is normal behaviour but I would expect a bit more solid components inside a Neutrik plug.

That said, I have not found any performance problems with any of these plugs after installing them, so once mounted they perform well.
