Wie versprochen gibt der Tonabnehmer einen Sound mit wenig Bass ab. Der Sound ist aber trotzdem schön klar, wie es bei einem Single coil sein sollte.

Classic Single-Coil Feel with a Modern Edge

I’ve always liked Tesla pickups, and the Plasma-1 Bridge BK definitely confirmed my expectations.

For a single-coil in the bridge position, it delivers a really well-balanced tone with slightly reduced bass, which actually helps keep the sound tight and focused—especially for rock and blues styles. The output is medium-high, so it has enough punch without losing clarity or dynamics. ()

What impressed me most is the clarity: notes remain well-defined even with gain, and it cuts nicely through the mix without sounding harsh. It has that classic single-coil character but feels a bit more controlled and modern.

Build quality is also very solid, with Alnico 5 magnets and a clean overall construction, exactly what I expect from Tesla. Installation was straightforward and everything felt reliable right away. ()

Considering the price, it’s honestly hard to find something better in this range. Great tone, good output, and excellent value for money.

Highly recommended if you’re looking for an affordable but great-sounding bridge single-coil.
