Wollte mir nach fast 30 Jahren Tama Artstar nochmal was gönnen . Hatte mir im Vorfeld natürlich einiges online angeschaut um dann den weiten Weg zu Thomann zu machen. War überwältigend! Aber ausgerechnet das Walnut Birch war nicht aufgebaut. Kein Problem, schnell ans Regal, die Trommeln zusammen gestellt und im Übungsraum aufgebaut. Super Service und sehr kompetent. Ganz großes Lob an die Mannschaft. Hab an dem Tag noch ca. 8 Sets in dem Segment getestet aber der warme Sound vom Tama hat mich echt überzeugt. Nur bei den Aufhängungen war ich mir unsicher. Fühlte sich schon etwas wacklig an. Aber hab mich dann so entschieden. Also alles bestellt und ein paar Tage später in 2 Touren bei mir angekommen. Die 10er und 12er waren schon gespannt und recht gut gestimmt, den Rest musste ich noch montieren. Aber alles easy und klasse verarbeitet. Hab jetzt schon ein paar Stunden dran gesessen und die Bewegung der Aufhängung stört mich überhaupt nicht mehr. Ist eine riesen Erleichterung beim Aufbau. Einfach einstecken, den Lock arretieren. Fertig!! Und dann die Farbe. War eigentlich die einzige die ich von vornherein ausgeschlossen hatte. Bis ich sie vor Ort gesehen habe. Mega. Kein Vergleich zu den Prospekt Fotos. Tama hat mit dem Walnut/Birch ein tolles Set genau. Schöner warmer Sound und trotzdem genug Attack um sich in jedem Musikstil durchzusetzen. Verarbeitung ist auf oberstem Niveau. Lust bekommen? Also ab zu Thomann. Lohnt sich.

Where to begin with this....first, i'm totally biased, because i've been a Tama fan for ages. This is the first acoustic kit that i've owned. And i love it. It feels great, it plays great, it has cool features and it looks so good that i can't stop staring at it.

I was on the fence for a while whether to go with a good old maple kit or to take a bit of a risk and go with this birch/walnut kit - they're priced pretty evenly, so that wasn't a deciding factor. Not gonna lie, the satin purple fade finish *was* the deciding factor for me, because tone wise i like both options. Now in terms of tone - it's rich and deep, has warmth, yet a solid attack. iIcan see myself using it for multiple genres, by swapping out heads, changing up tunings etc. for me it'll be used mostly in the studio, but i'm sure they'll be awesome for live as well.

The kit is super-easy to set up and Tama's hardware has some really cool features, especially the locking system for mounting Toms (both rack and floor). The quality is also top notch - smooth bearing edges on shells, hardware feels solid, everything works as intended.

The finish though, man....you have to see it to believe it, it's just gorgeous. Throw some purple heads on there and she'll win the Miss DrumWorld pageant for sure.

10/10 - would buy again.
