Good alternative for the custom E&S and such
If you want to change your playstyle towards a more blendy kind of mixing, just try it and you'll fall in love !
I mix house music in a lot of different style with some old techno and various acid sh**, and it helped me lean towards a more harmonious mixing style. Of course you can't violently manhandle your faders anymore, because, well there aren't any, but if you're looking to find new mixing techniques, definitely give it a try !
For the price it is more than enough sound quality and it feels really solid and sturdy, but I have to lower my evaluation on both those counts. It still is entry level gear and if you have the ear for it you will notice the difference in sound between the Omni and a custom made one (obviously) ; and mine actually had a couple problems with the phono in on both tracks (sometimes the left or right would just not work, and it happened before a gig, so, bad, you know), and the power was probably soldered incorrectly, because it would stop working if the cable put to much downward pressure on it.
All in all, not that much of a problem, because I sent it back to Thomann and they fixed it promptly, free of charge ! (big props by the way).
