Wer beispielsweise Castanets oder ein Jingle Tap als Addon der Cajon hinzufügen möchte, ist mit der seitlichen Befestigung gut bedient. Die Schlagfläche wird nicht beeinträchtigt, denn das Side-Mount ist durch einen Gummistreifen davon getrennt und klebt seitlich an der Cajonwand. Auf die bereits angebrachte Klettfläche können problemlos zusätzliche Percussions-Instrumente angeheftet werden. Selbst harte Beanspruchung löst die Halterung nicht von der Cajonwand. Es ist möglich, die Addons rechts oder links an der Cajon zu befestigen, das Side Mount wird lediglich umgedreht. Das verwendete Holz (Gummibaum) ist sehr leicht, aber strapazierfähig. Der Preis stimmt auch.

Very bad construction.

I bought this Cajon Side Mount by Meinl to be used on my Tycoon Percussion Cajon, alongside with a Jingle Tap and a Castanet mounted on it.

I was only able to use it for a month or so until it broke in half in my hand while i was detaching it from the velcro at the end of a gig.
The construction is really poor, only one screw to hold the entire thing together; however, the surface that stays on the velcro is vast, so it's tough to take it off it without risking to cause any damage.

It was doing the job, but i think I'm going to try a smaller size in the future.
