Fidele à sa réputation le requinto Galaxy même peu tendu sonne très bien. Les claqués, les toniques et même les basses sont bien présents. Qualité de fabrication soignée. A voir dans le temps...

Die Requinto der Galaxy Serie hat hervorragende Klangeigenschaften. Slaps klingen knackig und setzen sich sehr gut durch, genau wie dir open strokes. Sehr ausgewogener und warmer Klang, trotz der hohen Tonhöhe. Nach Ölung der Gewindeschrauben lässt sich die Trommel leichtgängig und gleichmäßig Stimmen. Einziger Nachteil: Das Hohe Gewicht. Wer die ganze Serie auf die Bühne buckelt, weis was ich meine. Allerdings sind diese wunderbaren Instrumente durch kein digitales Pad zu ersetzten. Wer den Originalsound liebt, der schleppt...so wie ich. ;)

I have 14 congas including my galaxy Conga and tumba, but this is exactly the drum needed for Cuban soloing.
The strength of lugs means it can be hiked up with a couple of turns without risk of buckled rims or failing lugs, (which has happened with patato lugs in the past.)
The tones are clear with very few overtones, but I will probably re skin soon, as LP tend to think that thin skins are better, which contradicts anything I have learned about trying to create a warm rich tone without any ringing overtones, however slight
Love the drum and the look and strength is exceptional.
Sack the 11" , this is the real thing.

Got this conga shipped to Australia for use in my bands, and to complete my set. Very happy with my first hit with it today. As I already am familiar with the drum, there were no surprises- i.e it is exactly what I expected. Great tone, great look. It arrived in perfect condition.
The shipping time to Australia (under 2 weeks) was great, and cost was alot better than I could get here. I'm very happy, and would recommend Thomann
