K&M 11923 Orchestra Music Stand

I have to admit, this music stand was not my first choice, but only because of the price. However, now that I have tried it, I am glad I went on with the purchase. I would still not say that the price is right, but it truly is very well made and, according to the supplied assembly manual, can support up to 5 kg! Since the desk on this particular model is made of plastic rather than steel, the stand is not top-heavy at all and, even at its highest setting, feels reassuringly stable. Furthermore, the base spreads out much wider than I expected, so there is very little chance of knocking it over inadvertently. If you only need this for its intended purpose, you would likely make do with a cheaper alternative, but if you, like me, need something to support your tablet or even a laptop, this might be a worthy investment. This is the fifth K&M product I have purchased, and I have been satisfied with all of them, so I really do not think you can go wrong with this brand (at least, not with their high-end German-made products, which, again, are fantastic!).
