Better value than a CV... if you are lucky!
Pros
+ You may luck out and receive a specimen that has beautiful, consistent wood grain, with a top that looks almost seamless.
+ The finish of the neck feels good, objectively on a par with a Player I Fender, and much better than the cheap plastic feel of a CV Squier.
+ Fine sounding pickups with enough power and clarity, as well as contained hum. Much better than what you get on a current CV Squier.
Cons
- The specimen I received had a truss rod that could not add any relief although the neck was almost dead straight. Only a fret level would have got rid of the buzzing on the first 5-6 frets. Same story if I had wanted to use lighter gauges than the stock 10-46, which I typically do in E Standard.
- Although most of the fretwork was fine (i.e. no sprout yet no overly rounded edges where it is easy to slip off the fretboard), there was some room for improvement in leveling since, in addition to the above, action was at ~2.1 mm on the 12th fret, low E, and the notes were still choking a bit, despite the neck being, again, almost dead straight.
- The control plate was mounted a bit askew which, when in playing position, revealed a bit of the underneath routing.
- Same as above for the bass side of the bridge although to a lesser extent.
- Tuners would benefit from a replacement since a few required to be turned quite a bit before the pitch would change at all.
Conclusion
If you get one with a functioning truss rod, no obvious build flaw and maybe even a pretty top, then it is indeed better value than a CV Squier which would also require fret leveling and maybe even nut work anyway. You also get a thicker neck (not Nocaster thick though) and a 12" radius for butter easy bends like on a Gibson. In other words, this is your typical cheap guitar situation where value is often correlated with how lucky you are with the specimen you receive.

La belle de loin
Tu ouvres ton carton et tu as des étoiles dans les yeux, elle est très belle cette guitare.
La lutherie est magnifique, le manche est très confortable aucune frête ne sort. Par contre elle est assez lourde...
Le réglage d'usine est assez bon pour un guitariste sans trop d'expériences. Tu es débutant fonce dessus...
Pour les autres. Réglage correcte obligé, les frettes ne sont pas finies à fond. L'accastillage c'est du bas de gamme. Les micros font le travail sans être précis...
Pour ma part achetée pour avoir une seconde guitare sur scène (accordage différent). je vais tout lui changer...
Donc je le répète comme guitare de débutant, c'est un très bon achat. Confort, sonne pas trop dégueux, très jolie.
Pour les autres c'est l'occasion d'avoir une Like 52 pour pas cher mais faut bosser dessus.
Quand je prend la Godin après celle-ci il y a quand même un monde différence, un billet de 500 aussi donc c'est normal...

bof
j'ai cédé en regardant les vidéos youtube ou on nous décrit cette guitare comme un super coup , le corps est bien, le manche bof, les mécaniques c'est de la daube à changer de suite, le micro chevalet à changer au final j'i mis des dimarzio pas acheté ici , changé le sillet plastique pas acheté ici, les pontets pas achetés ici, et les mécaniques pas achetées ici , elles étaient tellent pourries qu'elle se désaccordait toute seule ; au final cela fait cher ;;et pour la première fois, le service livraison thomann par ups quasi forcé , s'est mal passé ...

Livraison très longue et compliquée
Dommage, les produits sont biens chez thomann, j'ai déjà commandé plusieurs fois mais la livraison c'est plus possible. Le livreur indique qu'il est venu mais ne vient jamais. J'attends toujours la guitare... Très mauvais choix de service de livraison. Je ne commanderai plus tant que Thomann travaillera avec UPS.

En lisant les avis ici, j'y ai cru.... mais non, c'est bien une pelle à 129 euros... et elle ne les vaut meme pas.
Le corps de la mienne est en trois parties avec les différents veinages très différents, donc très moche.
Le manche est légèrement vrillé.
Les perçages dans le corps pour passer les cordes ne sont pas tout à fait en face des trous du chevalet.
Quand vous changez les cordes, les bloque-cordes en dessous tombent.
Moi qui adore les mécaniques de type "vintage", là c'est une pale copie plutôt pourrie.
Le son.... pas mieux. Le micro chevalet a plutôt la patate et sonne comme devrait sonner une télécaster, sauf qu'il y a une perte de volume importante sur la corde de mi aigue. C'est très visible au vu-metre de mon DAW.
Le micro manche.... y'en a ici qui l'ont décrit comme "doux", moi je dirais qu'il est boueux... pour comparer, tournez le tone au minimum et vous avez le son de ce micro.
J'ai aussi l'impression que ce "truc" a été vernis avec les bois pas tout a fait secs.
Je regrette amèrement mon achat. Elle ne peut meme pas servir de décoration, puisqu'elle est moche.
J'aurais du mettre un peu plus dans une Squier Vintage Modified ou Classic Vibe.
