EB Kabel

Ich suchte pinke und lila Kabel und stieß da auf die EBs. Optisch witzig und gut sichtbar.
Diese Kabel sind kann ich leider nur bedingt empfehlen. Wobei die Kabel nicht das Problem sind, sondern die Stecker. Gerade auf dem Board muss man tierisch aufpassen, dass kein anderes Kabel an die Metallparts kommt, weil dann das Brummen los geht... Abhilfe konnte ich mir mit Isolierband helfen und damit wurden dann die Stecker (Griffflächen) umwickelt.
Investiert besser in Kabel mit Neutrikstecker oder Ähnlichem... ggf. werde ich irgendwann die Stecker abnehmen und Neutriks dranlöten.

Die matte Farbe ist angenehm intensiv und die Stecker verfügen über einen leichten Retro-Touch. Soweit wirkt alles solide und professionell, die Stecker rasten sauber ein.

Not a bad choice

I assumed that these relatively new Flex-series cables would be the same as Ernie Ball's Classic-series ones, only more colorful, but there is a more important difference worth noting: holding both of them side by side, I immediately noticed that the plugs on these Flex-series cables were quite significantly shorter. On the one hand, they are much more compact, but on the other hand, there is less material to hold onto while plugging and unplugging. The quality appears to be the same, but because they are thick and quite heavy (yes, even these shorter ones), I am a little bit worried about the capacitance (of the plugs themselves). Some plugs can have as much capacitance as a meter or more of cable! Also, speaking of capacitance, the capacitance rating of the cable itself is nowhere to be found, neither on the packaging nor on the manufacturer's website. The type of shielding remains a mistery too, but judging by how flexible the cable is, if I had to, I would bet on spiral shielding (cables with braided shielding tend to be stiffer). For the price, it felt a little bit flimsy, not on par with the heavy-duty plugs it was attached to. If it had cost 30% less, I would have probably kept it.
