I've had the Digitone for about a month now—just enough time for a seasoned Elektron user to master all the new features. And I'm exaggerating... I still have a long way to go.
In short, why wouldn't it be useful for me to buy both at once? As explained, there are so many improvements that I haven't fully explored them. Also, it has 16 tracks... Enough for 6 basic drums (kick/snare/HH...), 4 elaborate rhythmic phrases, a bass, another bass, a lead, pads, and an ambient track. So I'm going to explore its limits as a drum machine, synth, sound design, MIDI... There you go! I'm lost, I'm confused, is this an opinion or a confession?
Let's just say I wanted the two new "Digi"s. I bought the Digitone 2 first... My wallet supports my decision to wait...
