Danelectro DE 59M LH NOS+ Black

Ich ich die Danelectro DE 59M in meiner Indie / Punk - Band nun seit etwa einem halben Jahr.
Ursprünglich hatte ich sie nur zum Ausprobieren neben einer Standard-Tele gekauft und dachte, das ich sicher bei Fender landen würde - ein großer Irrtum!

Ich hatte viele Gründe, die Danelectro vorzuzuiehen: die sehr gute Verarbeitung (!), die Preis-Leistung, die überraschende Flexibilität im Sound (dadurch, dass man beide Tonabnehmer unabhängig und stufenlos in Volume und Tone regeln kann, hat man nicht nur die Möglichkeit zum crispen, höhenlastigen Lipstick-Sound, sondern man kann auch - wenn auch natürlich eingeschränkt - einen fetten fuzz-sound erzeugen).

Weitere Vorteile: das sehr leichte Gewicht, die Bespielbarkeit (gefühlt sind die Saiten relativ straff und für Speed-Metal wäre das ganze wohl nicht geeignet, aber das muss ja auch nicht :P ; dafür wird man für den etwas erhöhten Kraftaufwand beim spielen mit einem sehr knackigen sound belohnt.)

Kleine Bedenken hatte ich beim Anblick der sehr zierlich wirkenden Stimmmechaniken. Nach einem halben Jahr kann ich aber sagen, dass die Stimmstabilität super ist.

Alles in allem bin ich sehr glücklich mit der relativ spontanen Entscheidung für die Danelectro und gegen die Tele. An Originalität (Optik+Sound!) ist die Danelectro wohl kaum zu übertreffen!

As my first Danelectro, I’m blown away! This guitar is a must have for guitar collectors and for those who just want to try a new sound. Of course we all know about this guitar's history.
Playing the guitar right out of the box was a total breeze. The action is quite good and the neck is superb. The quality is another plus point to mention. The only downside is that the guitar needs a teenie weenie bit of intonation adjustment. Other than that, it’s a monster of a guitar with a huge sound. For now, I’m in love!

I've bought several items from Thomann and never had a problem. Everything is well packaged and protected and delivery is prompt.
The Danelectro is superb!! I own several guitars and whilst the Danelectro is no Gibson or Rickenbacker it is a well made guitar and does what it is supposed to. Fair enough the bridge is unusual in that it is set in a recess on the body and the strings go on the neck side to be pulled back over the bridge itself but this does not cause any issues.
I love the retro look and it is a pleasure to play. I'm pleased with my purchase and have no hesitation in recommending it
