DBX made a little gem!

This DBX 266 XS compressor is to be highly recommended. The quality of sound it (re)produces, and the flexibility of the controls are so much better than cheaper units.

On other units I have used, "Release" can be grabby and compression ratios way to harsh even for the smallest adjustment to the controls (I owned a Behringrer previously). This unit is smooth and easily adjustable ensuring that you neither blast your desk nor kill the sound.

Simple and intuitive to use I had it out of the box, installed in my flight was, hooked up and operating within 20 minutes of the courier dropping it off. It really is that easy.

I am absolutely delighted and feel this unit represents great value for money.

I have marked it 5*s on everything as it does everything it says it will in an outstanding way.

Don't be fooled by the price. This is a great compressor. Doesn't color at all. So if you are looking for a "warm" sound, this is not for you

I use this compressor/gater for kick and snare on my Vermona DRM1 MK4, it makes the kick even meatier, and snare - very tight and much less "sneezy" sounding (I love how it sounds now, and I just hated it before).
In short - it's definitely a must have. Two channel compressor/gater/expander with two sidechain inserts for this price? Yes please. The quality is also great so trust me - it's a no brainer.
