Universal Audio UAFX Knuckles

Wow this thing sounds so good! I am using it with a HSS Strat and several pedals and it works flawlessly.
Contrary to what one may think this thing does not only do metal, both the orange and the red channel (in vintage mode) can give you amazing crunch / distorted sounds.
With the app you can customize the power section which have a huge impact not only on the sound but on the feel as well. The tube rectifier gives such an interesting spongy feeling.

It takes pedals very well, in fact I am surprised how well my fuzz works with this pedal not only to spice up some clean / pushed tones but also to tighten up high gain tones.

It would take 5 stars if not for 2 flaws which I hope can be addressed via updates later on:

- While you can store many presets you can only assign 1 preset to the footswitch! Otherwise you are cycling to live mode which basically uses the settings on the pedals. This is annoying, I think switching 2 channels at least is a must!

- Sometime the app (which you need to recall your presets and tweak things like the power section: rectifier mode, tube type, etc) will fail to connect and you have to power cycle the pedal. This is super annoying and I hope it gets fixed soon.

Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit dem Pedal. Es hat mir geholfen, meine lange Suche nach dem perfekten Sound in sehr tiefer Stimmung zu beenden, da die Einstellungen es ermöglichen, praktisch jeden gewünschten Sound zu erzielen. Besonders gut reagiert das Pedal auf zusätzliche Booster, wie ein echter Verstärker. Das Pedal klingt nicht nur gut in den Kopfhörern, sondern auch laut im Proberaum über den Poweramp.

Der Knuckles ist die UAFX Version des Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier Solo Heads von 1992 mit sechs verschiedenen Boxen. Direkt ans Audiointerface (Apollo) angeschlossen ist es die beste und nachbarschaftsfreundlichste Möglichkeit, Hi Gain Metal, Punk und Hardcore Riffs einzuspielen.
Knuckles ist mein 5. UAFX AIAB Pedal und ich bin wie immer absolut begeistert.
Die Bluetooth Verbindung zum iPhone funktioniert einwandfrei und wird ohnehin nur für eine handvoll set & forget Optionen benötigt.

ohne viel an den Regler drehen zu müssen sofort ein absolut Authentischer Dual Rectifier Sound aus der Box.
Tolles und sehr organisches Spielgefühl.
Kommt ab Werk mit 3 Lautsprecher IRs, nach der Registrierung kommen noch 3 weitere dazu, also ingesamt 6 Lautpsrecher IRs die den Klangeindruck sehr prägen. Hätte ich nicht gedacht aber selbst der Clean Kanal gefällt mir angecruncht ausserordentlich gut.

Auch mit meiner 8-Saiter macht der UAFX Knuckles Spass und sorgt für einen tighten Sound.

Leider gibt es noch immer keinen PC/MAC Editor mit dessen Hilfe man die Einstellungen und Presets verwalten könnte, das geht nur mit Smartphone und Bluetooth, wo leider bei mir mit meinem Smartphone die Verbindung ständig abbricht :(
Leider ein kleiner (grosser) Wehrmutstropfen, den klanglich und haptisch überzeugt das Pedal ausserordentlich.
